Willamette Valley

Get a taste of Oregon’s lush wine country

Oregon’s Willamette Valley is a magnet for wine connoisseurs as well as lovers of the great outdoors.

More than 200 vineyards produce high quality Pinot Gris, Riesling and Pinot Noir wine. Fresh produce is available at farmers’ markets that dot the historic towns and sides of the roads. Albany is rich in historic attractions including museums, antiques shops and more than 700 historic buildings.

Cottage Grove is the covered bridge capital of Oregon with seven of these quaint spans. Located in the Yamhill County wine region, McMinnville is a charming community with restored, turn-of-the century buildings reinvented as restaurants, wine bars and unique shops. Just west of Salem, the state capital, are the communities of Monmouth and Independence.

An ideal location for a wine tasting vacation, the Willamette Valley also abounds with fun-filled attractions for the whole family can enjoy. Whether you’re looking to pick your own produce at a local farm or view the Willamette Valley from the basket of a hot air balloon, this region has something to please every stripe of RVer.
