Visiting Saskatchewan on Your Next Road Trip
Saskatchewan, just west of Manitoba, is the second of Canada's prairie provinces and our next stop. Or, at least it should be, considering it’s home to Prince Albert National Park. Located almost in the exact center of the province, the park divides into a variety of ecosystems. Expansive prairie land dominates the southern regions, while to the north one can find lush forests of pine and spruce. There are lots of scenic lakes and ponds for those of you who can’t get enough of the water. Grasslands National Park is just one excuse to visit Saskatchewan's southern border. This vast expanse of small rolling hills is best known for terrific views, which, if you are fortunate enough to find yourself perched atop one of the taller mounds, seem to last forever.
